What we measure, and what we do not

Onbekende Sprekers was started by Jerre Maas. He is responsible for this site and how your data is handled.

Visitor analytics

If you click Accept, we use Google Analytics to see how the site is used: which pages people view, how often requests are sent and whether filters work. Your IP address is shortened, Google Signals is off and ads are not personalised. We do not link anything to your name.

On onbekendesprekers.nl, choosing Accept also lets us use the Meta pixel from Facebook and Instagram. This tells Meta that you visited the site and whether you create a speaker account. It helps us see whether our adverts work and lets Meta show them to people who may find them relevant. Meta may place cookies and link your visit to your Facebook or Instagram account. We do not send your name or email address. Google Ads can also see whether you create a speaker account after clicking our Google advert. Google may place cookies for this. We do not send your name or email address or use this for personalised advertising. We store when you gave consent and the text you saw in your browser.

If you click No thanks, we do not measure anything with Google Analytics or load the Meta pixel or Google Ads. Your choice is saved in your browser. To change it, clear the site data for onbekendesprekers.nl in your browser.

We never track visits to the speaker dashboard, admin area or personal review and contribution pages. Our hosting provider also records anonymous visitor numbers without cookies.

Details you provide

When you send a request, your name, organisation and contact details go to your chosen speaker and the administrator. Speakers' contact details are never public. Reviews show only what you enter yourself. If you report a profile, the speaker will not see who reported it.
