As an event chair, I work at dozens of conferences, team days and symposia each year. I see well-known speakers deliver polished keynotes. And I see the community nurse, headteacher or entrepreneur who gets five minutes between sessions and has the whole room listening.

These people are not on any speaker agency's books. They have no showreel and no agent. Organisers cannot find them, so they choose the same familiar faces again.

Why this platform exists

Onbekende Sprekers gives those stories a home. Speakers create their profiles. Organisers search, send requests and share their experience afterwards. Only people who sent a request can review.

No platform fee, no commission

The platform charges no fee and takes no commission. No adverts, no paid listings. You agree the details directly with the speaker.

Afterwards, you decide what the match was worth to you. Once an event has gone ahead, we ask the organiser and speaker for a voluntary contribution. This keeps the platform independent and accessible, including for small budgets. Giving nothing is fine too.
